烈日肆虐,
英雄下凡,
灭除灾害
万物伊始，世界一片昏暗。 创世之神---帝俊赋予人类生命，让人类来主宰世界。 为了使人类进步，帝俊又创造了十个太阳神来给予人类光和热。
In the beginning there was only a world of darkness. Dijun, the primal God, created Man to thrive in this world. However, without light and warmth, Man could not progress. Dijun, noticing this problem, created 10 Sun gods to give Man the necessities to progress.
太阳神的栖身之所是一棵扶桑树。
The 10 Sun birds lived in Fusang （扶桑）, a Divine tree they called home which is located in the center of the largest continent, the Central Plains (中原）. To keep these primal Suns to do their duties, they must be fed by a unique fruit growing on Fusang. The fruit (Seed of Fire 火种, looks like a Mulberry) generates a primal flame that keeps the birds calm.
十个太阳神轮流值日。 人们日出而作，日落而息，日复一日，年复一年，人类过着富足殷实的日子。
Each day, one bird will take turn to fly across the sky to bring Man light. Their feathers will fall to the earth as flames. Man, with light and fire, progressed significantly.
人们利用了太阳神的力量也得到了科技上的突破。
Throughout the ages, Man learned to cook, smelt ores and keep these gifts of god in lanterns to enable them to work at night. Civilizations thrived, so conflict arise amongst them. They competed for progress, and the defeated hungered for more power. It was not before long, Man is no long satisfied with the limited fire they get. They wanted the power of gods themselves. An expedition went to Fusang and rob the Gods of their Divine fruit. Unknown to them, by removing the fruit from the tree, the fruit died and released a wave of primal flame and killed the expedition.
直到有一天，太阳神一齐离开扶桑树。 天上挂着十轮似火的骄阳，把万物烧成灰烬。。
The next following days, as the Sun birds were not fed, they began to wander the world one by one, driven insane by hunger. Soon the world is brought down in flames with all the 10 Suns in the sky, there is simply too much fire and light for any mortal to withstand.
幸存者祈求神明来拯救他们，一位英雄被委以重任，他就是---后羿。
Houyi, a god of archery, took pity on mankind and answered their prayers to descend to the Central Plains (中原).
